The whirlwind:
My first book talk at Write on Door County on August 8 was warm and friendly, thanks to the generous efforts of Estella Lauder and Jerod Santek. My siblings Bob and Marilyn were there.
My first bigger book talk will be at Judson Memorial Baptist Church, 4101 Harriet Ave. South, Minneapolis, 4 pm, on Sunday the 23rd of August. This date happens to be the 29th anniversary of my marriage to Phil Kilbourne in 1997, which makes me very happy! No need to RSVP if you're interested in attending.
The official release date (when anyone, almost anywhere can buy the book) is Tuesday, August 25 - on that date, you should be able to find it in the various listings provided on this website.
If anyone has a book club that you'd like me to visit, I'd be delighted - either in person or online, if distance demands! Please get in touch via the Contact Me page on this site.
Thanks to all of you who have cheered me on with such enthusiasm, and special thanks to those who helped me deal with sticky wickets! It's been a long haul, and I find I am as exhausted as a very excited person can be.
I was recorded yesterday on a podcast with Gary Adair, host of Crossing the Pond. Gary is delightfully Irish and made things quite easy and fun. The recording may be available on Monday, August 24th on his website https://www.crossingthepondpodcast.com. I will be a guest on a podcast early next week with Amanda Lentz, another lovely, sensitive individual. Her podcast is called Who We Become and can be found at https://www.amandalentz.com/podcast.
I've written a few blogs for a "Blog tour" I signed up for, and I'll be allowed to release them here before long. It was a refreshing load of fun to think first of titles I might be able to write about (things that had little or nothing to do with dementia). It was a nice vacation to go to three other places in my head!
Thanks for your interest and support!
